WHO WE ARE
The name TESITO comes from the Mandinka and means to strengthen the back. It is a cloth that field workers tie around their backs to relieve the strain. That is why we chose this name. We want to improve the living conditions of the small village called Kaur Janneh Kunda and thus strengthen their backs.

Our board member, Lamin Bayo, grew up in this village and is related to or knows most of the residents. Our first project, building a well, is to bear the name of a beloved, recently deceased relative, so prayers are said for the deceased every time the well is visited. The blessing that is released is infinite and benefits the soul in the afterlife.
WHAT WE DO
Our principles
At Tesito Association we pride ourselves on being problem solvers who are not afraid to take risks. We believe that there is nothing we cannot achieve with a little courage, creativity and passion. But above all, our strength lies in teamwork. Each and every one of us has the ability to contribute, regardless of his/her experience or background. Just imagine what we can achieve together with this strength behind us.
It is so easy to fall into a state of indifference throughout our lives. Our organization was born out of a commitment to no longer ignore the real problems of society, but to tackle them head on. We set out to help those who need it most. The Tesito Association is here to help and we believe that change is possible if we put our hearts and minds into it.
